International Day of Persons with Disabilities

December the 3rd in the world is marked as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

General Assembly of the United Nations, in October 1992, adopted a resolution declaring December 3rd the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities is marked with the aim of improving the quality of life of people with disabilities by encouraging mutual cooperation and creating partnerships between the community and people with disabilities. This helps to prevent stigmatization and social isolation of people with disabilities and educates and sensitizes society about the common problems and limitations these people are facing every day.

Today, the teaching staff of our school held lectures on the importance of inclusion and supporting people with disabilities in everyday life, the importance of this date, as well as informing our students about the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
