Gymnasium SSST successfully organized Career Orientation Week, designed for second-grade students with the aim of supporting them in their professional orientation and helping them make informed decisions about their future academic and career paths.
Over the course of three days, students had the opportunity to attend lectures from various fields, delivered by professors from University SSST. Through direct interaction with professors from University SSST and industry experts, students were introduced to key aspects of different study programs, as well as current trends and career opportunities in selected fields.
On the first day, a lecture in the field of medical sciences was delivered by Prof. Rasim Jusufović, MD, PhD, Dean of Sarajevo Medical School at University SSST, who provided insights into the challenges and responsibilities of the medical profession, as well as the benefits of studying medicine.
On the second day, students attended lectures in the fields of political science and economics and business. Prof. Emir Hadžikadunić, PhD, spoke about contemporary challenges and opportunities in international relations and diplomacy, while Assist. Prof. Faruk Hadžić, PhD, presented key aspects of economics and business, with a particular focus on the labour market and career development.
On the final day, a lecture in the field of computer science was delivered by Prof. Belma Ramić Brkić, PhD, who introduced students to the dynamic development of the IT sector, as well as the knowledge and skills essential for success in this field.
Career Orientation Week represents an important segment of career guidance at Gymnasium SSST, providing students with the opportunity to explore their interests and potential through direct engagement with experts from various fields, and to make informed decisions about their future education.
